What experience is required?

We require our HIM colleagues to have a minimum of 1 year recent full-time experience in acute care. We also require that each candidate pass our technical interview. All coding and oncology candidates must pass our pre employment test.

We require our transcription candidates to have acute care experience and to pass our Medical Transcription test or Medical Editing tests. All transcription candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of recent full-time experience in acute care. We occasionally have entry-level positions available. What hours or shifts are available at Precyse?

All hours of operation vary according to the requirements of each individual position. Each HIM position will require the specific hours our client is requiring.

In Medical Transcription or Medical Editing, the hours are broken down into first, second or third shift, Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursdays. The open shifts are a reflection of what is required of Precyse to provide adequate coverage for our transcription clients.

How will I be compensated?

HIM colleagues are compensated based on the requirements of the job they are doing combined with their experience and expertise.

Medical Transcriptionists and Medical Editors are paid for their production. Precyse pays by the line. A line consists of 65 characters, including spaces.

How often will I be paid?

Precyse pays bi-weekly, every other Friday. Direct deposit is offered to our colleagues for their convenience.

Who are your benefits with at Precyse?

Our medical benefit coverage is through Aetna. We have three affordable options from which to choose for health, vision and dental coverage. We provide life insurance and make short-term and long-term disability as well as additional life coverage for you and your family members available. We offer a matching 401k and flexible spending account.

Paid time off begins accruing the first day you work. PTO averages between 3-4 weeks per year.

What equipment and software is required? Do you provide this equipment?

All necessary equipment is provided at no cost/deposit to our colleagues. Software is also provided at no cost/deposit.

How do you provide training? How do I get started?

Once you are hired, if your position requires you to have a computer, the appropriate software is shipped to you with instructions for set-up. An appointment will be made for you with the Help Desk to get your computer set-up. Our trainers will work with you to get you started on your accounts.

What type of education and training do you provide?

You will attend an orientation provided by Human Resources, and if you are in the HIM division, you will attend an additional orientation to learn more about the technical and professional aspects of the position.

In addition to orientation, we offer our colleagues free monthly audio and web based education through the Professional Services department. Our coding help desk services, PrecyseAssist, allow our coding consultants the ability to get answers to coding questions when coding assignment seems unclear. In addition, we will pay your dues for one credential annually.

Do you provide technical support?

We provide technical support 24/7. Precyse has technical support to ensure that you are as productive as possible. Precyse has trained technical support to answer your questions no matter how difficult they may be.

Does Precyse reimburse for travel?

Precyse utilizes an internal travel department that books airfare, hotel and car rental for traveling colleagues and these expenses are paid directly by Precyse, so the colleague will not be out-of-pocket for these expenses. Reimbursable expenses such as meal per diems and car mileage (at published IRS rates) are reimbursed to the colleague.

How often does Precyse reimburse for out-of-pocket expenses?

Precyse reimburses colleague paid expenses weekly. If properly completed expense reports are received by Tuesday, reimbursement is provided the following Friday.

Does Precyse reward their colleagues for referring candidates for hiring consideration?

Precyse has a generous referral program paid to anyone who refers a candidate to us who passes our test and is hired for a position.
